In a period of great unrest and turmoil, an entity assigned me a workforce that bore a significant resemblance to a rod. As the entity instructed, I began to measure the illustrious temple of God, the sacred altar, and those who gathered to offer their prayers. The outdoor court of the temple, however, was to be left out of my dimensions – it had been granted to the nations. These nations would descend upon the holy city, trampling it under foot relentlessly for a devastating period of forty-two months.
In the midst of this, God declared that He would grant his power to two faithful witnesses who would prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days, donned in sackcloth, the garments of mourning and penitence. God associated these prophets with the two olive trees and the two candlesticks that stood before the Lord of the earth.
The God-given immunity of these witnesses meant that anyone harboring harmful intentions towards them would be met with a fiery demise, emanating from the witnesses themselves. They were bestowed with the power to command the heavens to withhold rain during their prophetic period, control the waters to turn them into blood, and inflict the earth with various plagues at will.
The epic duel between the two witnesses and the beast from the abyss would eventually see the fall of the witnesses. Triumphantly, the beast from the abyss would take their lives. Their lifeless bodies would then lay in the open streets of the symbolic great city, spiritually reflective of Sodom and Egypt. The very city where their Lord had also been crucified.
The image of the dead prophets induced vile jubilance among the onlookers from diverse nations, tribes, and tongues. For three and a half days, they gazed upon the corpses left unburied. The earth’s dwellers sent gifts to one another, celebrating their newfound freedom from the incessant torment of these prophets.
Grief would soon convert into paralyzing fear, as the lifeless bodies of the prophets were miraculously revived by the breath of life from God Himself. A heavenly command beckoned them to ascend into the heavens in a cloud, an event witnessed by their adversaries and causing a might quake, resulting in the death of seven thousand people. Those who survived cowered in fear and worshipped the God of Heaven.
Now came the proclamation of the third woe following the second, and the voices of the seventh angel echoed throughout Heaven. The statements resounded, proclaiming the world’s kingdom had become the kingdom of the Lord and His Christ, initiating an eternal reign. This prompted the twenty-four elders, faithful servants seated before God, to worship and praise Him genuinely, acknowledging His time to reign, judge, reward the faithful, and decree the end of those wreaking havoc upon the earth.
Concurrently, the heavenly temple of God opened, revealing the ark of His covenant within. As a testament to His glory, lightning, voices, thunders, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm followed, marking the dawning of a new era under the reign of the Lord and His Christ.
