Once upon a time, in the land of Israel, before the great leader Moses was to depart from this world, he gathered the children of Israel to bestow upon them the blessings of God. As the people gathered around him, Moses began to speak with authority and reverence, declaring the greatness of Jehovah’s power and love.
“Moses, the man of God, blesses you before his death,” he proclaimed. “Jehovah came from Sinai, shone forth from mount Paran, and rose from Seir unto them with a fiery law at his right hand. He loves His people, and all His saints are in His hand.”
Moses continued to bless each tribe of Israel, speaking of their strengths and the favor that God had bestowed upon them. He spoke of Reuben, Judah, Levi, Benjamin, Joseph, Zebulun, Issachar, Gad, Dan, Naphtali, and Asher, showering them with blessings and prophecies.
“To Joseph, I say, blessed be his land, for the precious things of heaven and earth shall be his. And to Asher, blessed be you with children and oil under your feet,” Moses declared.
As Moses spoke, the people listened intently, knowing that his words carried weight and power. He spoke of their victories and their future triumphs, guided by the hand of Jehovah.
“There is none like unto God, O Jeshurun, who rides upon the heavens for your help!” Moses cried out. “The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath you are the everlasting arms. Rejoice, Israel, for you are a people saved by Jehovah, the shield of your help and the sword of your excellency!”
With these words of blessings and promises ringing in their ears, the children of Israel departed, filled with hope and faith in the God who had brought them out of bondage and into a land of abundance. And they knew that as long as they remained faithful and obedient to Jehovah, their enemies would be subdued, and they would walk in victory and peace.
